Eminem - Without Me
"A kitten is the most irresistible comedian in the world. Its wide-open eyes gleam with wonder and mirth. It darts madly at nothing at all, and then, as though suddenly checked in the pursuit, prances sideways on its hind legs with ridiculous agility and zeal."
-- Agnes Repplier
UPDATES:
No current updates for the time being, but I've got something planned shortly! :)
Yesterday was, in short, stressful. I managed to lose my purse, which I still haven't found. It contains my driver's licence, debit card, indentification cards, and some money which would have come in very useful this coming week, especially as I'm off work tonight because I'm not needed this Friday. Ergo, I only get 50% of what I usually do, and I'm strapped for cash enough as it is - could my purse going missing be any less of a welcome eventuality?
However, I did eventually get to Great Bentley, where Beryl, a lady whose number I got through networking the pet shops and veterinary surgeries, and who has a litter of five kittens up for adoption from the RSPCA. I've decided to adopt one of the kittens - the choice was hard, but I've picked him, and he's hopefully coming home with me in the next few days! Yes, that's right - a kitten!
He's black and white, with semi-long hair... ...he has tufts coming from his ears, which is the cutest thing. And he's crazy as anything. Leg climbing and string chasing a-go-go! XD; I've named him Dave. Dave, the kitten. Don't ask why, I can't say I'd be able to give you an answer...
I'm so tired lately, it's unbelievable. I started my training to become a teacher on Thursday morning. I'm working at Brinkey Grove Primary School, where I help teach the Year 3's (in England, this is the class for the 7-8 year old children.) A little girl ran up to me and said I was pretty! Overall, I had a good morning, observing the class, helping the teacher and the pupils, and making notes on the techniques involved in teaching them - it's very interesting.
No, really.
Stop laughing at me.
But something great happened in English Language today - we got the marks for our timed piece back today (which is an exam practice piece) and guess what!? I got the highest mark in the class! I was so chuffed and proud of myself. I was ahead of everyone else by about ten marks, so I really was pleased to receive such a good grade. My teacher says that if I keep commitment to my studies, I should be aiming for an A - what excellent news! - but I do hope I can persevere.
I found this amusing, so I placed it here:
