-- Paula Poundstone Added 18th Birthday Party pictures to photo album
Wait a sec, just got to make a dash to the loo! ...there we are. ![]() Well, I had a great birthday. It's been so fun, and I'm just glad that I had a good time so I can remember it nicely. I went out for dinner at an expensive Italian restaurant with my parents (they're divorced, so to spend time with them both at the same time is quite special), had an amazing party in London (I told you guys about it in the previous blog entry!) went clubbing with my friends, and, on a less spectacular note, ate lots of chocolate. What are birthdays without chocolate, anyway?I got some lovely presents, too. I know that some people are really itching to hear what I thought of the gifts they sent/gave to me *coughIrenecough*. So, without further ado, here is the list of all the presents I can remember!Sarah's Birthday Presents Spirited Away on DVD from my brother 8GB iPod Nano from my mum A bottle of champagne from my friends Hallowe'en black cat door hanger from my mum Chocolates from... ...lots of people! A Tiffany charm bracelet from my daddy Various sums of money from people with lots of cash >:D The Sims 2: Pets from my daddy Tigger socks (!) from Abbie Dior: Miss Dior Cherie from irene <3 Claire's Accessories Lipgloss from Michelle Unicorn handbag from Michelle 18th Birthday Pint Glass from Adam The Mighty Boosh, Series #2 Box Set from loppi The Cat Returns on DVD from my daddy Kitty money box (with some money inside, natch!) from my uncle, auntie and cousins Selection of cute keyrings from MichelleSo, Irene, I finally got around to tellin' you what I think of your giftie. Well, hun, I put the perfume on my wishlist and besides, it's Christian Dior - what's not to like!? (Is a bit of a fan.) Seriously, though, I was amazed when I received the parcel with it inside. The card made me all emotional and sniffly with glee. *lol* What a sap I am. And I've worn the perfume several times already. It smells gorgeous, of course. Thank you so much, Reeniebean! *tackles* You rock muchly. ^^Some of you are probably wanting to ask, "What's it like being eighteen years old, Sarah?" I've been asked it a few times already, come to think of it. Well, honestly? Not that different from being seventeen, really. Go figure! One thing I can tell you is good about being this age, though, is clubbing. I don't really drink much alcohol (three shots will usually see me through an entire night and I never get drunk!) but I do love going out with my friends, dancing to music, and meeting new folks. Being eighteen, it must be said, does wonders for your social life, if you like that sort of thing. I'm trying to stay safe whilst I'm out on the razz, though. I always pack my Hello Kitty personal attack alarm wherever I go, and I make sure I stick with my friends and keep to well-lit areas. My alarm has a torch on it, too, just in case - I do not want to end up in a scary situation! ![]() So yeah, a great birthday. And college is going pretty well, too. I'm back to attending all my classes and doing all the work. It feels good, too. It's less stressful than not doing anything at all. And I guess I knew that all along! Hee hee! Let's just hope I can stay on track. I want good grades at the end of it. |
