So, I got a reply from university college london and I got an offer!
I couldn't be more relieved. Despite the shittiness of my interview and everything else, I still did it. I am so proud of myself. I still have to get AAB in my A Levels in order to get in, but I'm going to work really hard from now on in the hopes of getting in. I beat a thousand other people for one of the fifteen slots they have for prospective students, so I will try not to let it slip from my grasp. If I don't manage, I'm off to nottingham anyway, but I'd still like to see if I can do it!The weather here has been shit lately. Seventy-mile an hour winds my arse, seriously. My umbrella blew inside out on the way to college yesterday and my hair got ruined within literally two seconds of leaving the house. I nearly fucking cried. I know, I'm a right twat.
I feel the need to explain why I have been updating this site so sparsely for the past month or so. Thing is, college is really busy right now. In a few weeks, I'll be doing my exams and the results of those exams will matter for the rest of my life. It's very important that I set aside everything else and make my college work my biggest priority. Right now, I'm struggling to get all my coursework done within the deadlines so I can notch up my grades. I got a top grade in the History exam I took back in January, but it was still lower than I think would represent my potential, so I am retaking it. I am basically resitting every single module I didn't get an A in (apart from my French oral exam from last year, in which I think I got a B.) Even if I only get a few more marks, it'll bring me that bit closer to getting a top grade in everything. I need all the support I can get right now with those grades, so I think it'll be worth the £13.50 per exam to just retake them.
Finally, I got my hair done - I realise that I've already changed my left-hand column picture to update it, but here's a bigger version for those of you interested:
Yes, I know the picture's quite dark. It was about seven o' clock in the evening when I took the picture, so the house didn't have much lighting for me to take a good picture. Nevertheless, what do you think?
I kinda like it, myself, but I think I'm gonna have to get used to having my fringe in my eyes...
