-- Colleen C. Barrett Updated qbee quilt!
Firstly, as I promised in my previous journal entry, here is a collage of some of the snapshots I took whilst in Berlin. Sorry that they're so small - if you're my friend on facebook, you're welcome to view the album containing the larger versions and more on there. ![]() From left to right, top to bottom: View from the TV Tower; bridge in Potsdam; Sanssouci (the Prussian King's Summer Palace); me in front of a section from the Berlin Wall; waiting for the tram; me, Catherine, Katherine and Philippa; the roof dome of the Berlin Cathedral; outside Ceciliehof (where the "Big Three" world leaders signed an agreement after the Great War.) Nothing greatly exciting has been going on in my life recently since that trip, but I quite like it that way. Less to go wrong, you know? At least, not outside of college. There's a lot happening there. But, as I said, none of it's exciting - I'll tell you about it anyway, though!Firstly, I've dropped AS Psychology and am now doing A2 General Studies. I'm just not engaging with the Psychology course at all, and have left it too late to make many alternative choices. The only real option I had was General Studies, but I don't particularly mind because it's an extra A2 I can easily pass and add to my ucas form to impress those universities! It looks like good fun, anyway. I really enjoy using logic and increasing my knowledge, and this looks like a good subject to develop that. ![]() On the subject of college, I'm currently procrastinating about doing the first draft for my French coursework. If I don't hand it in, Isabelle will flip a bitch at me for sure. I should really get started on that, soon as I finish this blog entry... honest...! At my new job in The Yew Tree, I am beginning to really settle in and learn the ropes, so to speak. I even got to manage my very own section! This wasn't quite so daunting as it sounded, because it was far from busy tonight. But I did make a nifty £20 in tips - not bad for a dead night, eh? It turns out that one of my colleagues, Carl a.k.a. "Chi Chi", was flirting with me not only all of tonight, but also on Saturday evening. I was totally oblivious, but he admitted to me that he had been doing so. I was surprised, as I hardly look great in my work clothes. To be honest, I wouldn't mind dating Carl. He seems nice, and we appear to have quite a lot in common with one another. He isn't too bad looking, either. *grins* Either way, I think I'll see how it goes before making any advances... in fact, I would much rather "play the game", as Mum says, and let him do all the chasing until I know for sure what I'd like to do about it!
