I'm glad you guys like the new layout. I felt like introducing something a little more personal to the look and feel of pink-robots.com and decided that pictures of the Big Smoke were the best way to go about it! I also love the damask pattern I managed to find at the inspiration gallery. I recommend it to anyone who'd like a pretty patterned background for their own site.

This week has been chock full of festive frolics for me and my friends. At the weekend, I went to a Christmas devmeet with some folks I know from the site. We went to the victoria & albert museum, then explored the natural history museum which, after so many visits, I swear never becomes any less of a novelty to me. I was reunited with two of my favourite items in the exhibition - the adorable pygmy anteater and the marine marvel I know only as an "No Wai!" fish. see why?
Once we'd finished in the museums, we went to the pub. This is a tradition of all good British devmeets, and much fun was had. In the spirit of the season, we got quite merry! I discovered that one of my new favourite tipples is the Swedish cider, kopparberg. It's wonderful stuff. If you get the chance, you should definitely try some.
We went back to my friends' flat after the celebrations. A small number of us were generously invited to stay over. I got very little sleep, because of the drunken noise occurring in my chosen place of slumber, and also because Adam kept farting in my direction to wind me up. I turn into a fiery bitch if I'm half-asleep, though, and he was soon taught a lesson!
The next day, we all went for lunch at pizza express. It was delicious, and I really enjoyed having a pleasant meal with my friends. I don't get to see people like Steph, Toni, Holly, Ceri, Helen and Dan much and it's really good to catch up on old times.

To celebrate the end of the first term of college, I had some friends over to stay (and drink, natch.) Eddy, Freddy, Abi, Adam (my gay best friend, not the dude who guffed in my face) and Marguerite were brilliant guests and I could not have commemorated this moment in a better way.

Now I'm on the holiday period, in which I traditionally procrastinate about getting my coursework done, drink myself comatose, and generally degrade myself at the amusement and/or derision of others.

Anyway, I think it's time for a friday 5.

1. If money were no concern and looks the only consideration, what car would get yourself? (pictures for questions like this are always nice!)

A Lexus GS Convertible. Excuse me while I spend the next ten minutes drooling profusely.

2. If money were no concern and your lifestyle the only consideration, what car would you get yourself?

'Nuff said.

3. What is the best thing about your current car? If you do not own a car, what is the best thing about the car you most often ride in?

I sold my last car, so I'm currently without my own vehicle. My mum's car has really snazzy metallic blue paintwork, and goes pretty fast, though.

4. If cars could be skinned the way cell phones, laptop computers, and iPods can, what would be a really cool skin for your car?

It would have to be pink and obnoxiously sparkly. Flashing, seizure-inducing lighting effects would be a bonus.

5. If you were going to decorate a friend’s car with a custom-made skin as a practical joke, whose car would you skin and what would it be?

I'd cover my friend Adam's car in baked beans.
