If you like entering competitions and receiving a reward for your good, hard work as a web designer, then the SOTM award is definitely one to consider. You'll get recognition and not to mention the all-important site traffic! SOTM has exciting prizes, too. Prizes are shown below.
PRIZES
Each SOTM winner will benefit from:
1. Pluggage Your site will be linked, showing your very own 88x31 website button until the next winner is announced.
2. A Special Place You'll get your site linked in a Past Winners section so your achievement will be immortalised on pink-robots.com!
3. An Award Every winner of the SOTM contest gets their own personalised award so they can put it on their own website. Samples of this year's awards are shown below:
Sites that win SOTM tend to be:
Well-designed
Easily navigable
Imaginative
Made by you only
Sites of the following nature will be rejected in their application for SOTM, with the chance of being permanently prohibited from applying again!
Freeware layouts, default layouts and those provided by your friends as gifts
MySpace pages, LiveJournals, Xanga accounts, deviantART pages and the like
Sites using "StIcKy CaPs", awful spelling and/or grammar, or otherwise incomprehensible or illegible content
Non-English sites which lack an English language translation
Sites with so-called "disturbing" content such as hate, pornography, disturbing images etc.*
After six months have passed since you last received SOTM, you may feel free to re-apply as you wish. :)
* Artistic/tasteful nudity, limited "foul" language or the mature discussion of disturbing themes will not inhibit your chances of winning. If some of your pages are more "disturbing" than others, if appropriate warnings are given your website can still be considered. If you would rate your own website suitable for young teens, you are fully welcome to apply.
For reasons of privacy, do not nominate somebody else for the award. If you think somebody you know is in with a good chance of winning, direct them here so they can apply themselves.
